TAKING OFF THIS YEAr

¡Vamos a Baja!

Join us on Salt & Wind trips to Baja California! These trips are curated itineraries with unique experiences. On each trip a small group of us will head on a 3-day trip to northern Baja California. There will be a mix of rowdy urban and rustic rural as we head from quirky Tijuana to the seaside and into Mexico's wine region. Our itinerary includes expert-led tours, art gallery visits, pop-up parties, seaside meals, market visits, wine tastings, boutique accommodations, a concierge, a group photographer, morning yoga, and some seriously good food! FROM TJ TO THE VALLE

But Why Baja?

A mix of rugged and gritty and thoroughly creative, Baja California is one of our favorite areas right now. If you haven’t been to Tijuana since college, you might be all, “huh?” but trust. There's an emerging wine region, tons of seafood, farm-to-table cuisine, a mix of street food and fine dining, and a new generation of creatives making their mark in everything from art to design. And we're not the only fans! It's been touted by Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Sunset, Eater, AFARand the New York Times.

Tear yourself away from the picture-postcard Pacific views on Route 1, south of the border between California and Mexico, and you see Valle de Guadalupe undulating to the east, its Mars-like boulders and vast stretches of rose-gold-colored dirt belying the fact that there is some pretty great wine being grown here.

A DIFFERENT TYPE OF TRAVEL

The Salt & Wind Experience

We believe the best travel balances high and low experience. As such, each of our trips have a mix of refinement and local culture; relaxation and exploration; street food and high-end food; meticulous planning and adventure; and a small group of fellow food and travel lovers. Here are a few more benefits:

JUST A FEW OF US

A max of 12 people (counting staff) means you'll never feel alone but never feel like you're actually on a group trip.

EXPERT-LED COOKING CLASS

Our founder — author, chef, and on-camera host — Aida Mollenkamp will share the secrets behind her favorite Baja-inspired recipes.

ALUM FOR LIFE

Traveling with us means you get to network with fellow travelers and join our alumni network (so you get exclusive events and discounts)!

REGIONAL GUIDES

When it comes to all things food, we're teaming up with Club Tengo Hambre because they're in-the-know with Baja's food scene!

Comfortable (OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE)

See corners of the world that you might not have the intel (or cojones) to visit on your own, all the while staying in chic boutique accommodations.

VIP ACCESS

Hard-to-secure ressies, private tours, one-of-a-kind wine tastings, a group photog, and a concierge? Yup, you'll be rolling in style.

Skip The hassle of Planning

We've done all the research, scheduled every pick up, and made all the major decisions for you, so you won't have to Google, Siri, or GPS one moment.

A FEW SURPRISES

Oh, and, we’ve got a few tricks (and gifts) up our sleeve that will only be revealed once you actually, well, join us on the trip!
